A long with it is an animated picture with a pink IATSE shield up in the left hand corner, a yellow spring in the top right corner, and it read PRO STRONG. There are several arms of animated characters raised with a fist. Just the arms. Each one is from a recognizable character, including Jake the Dog and I believe Jonny Bravo. Other people might be able to identify the other ones.

TAG's contract is up in 2024. If you're showing up for the WGA strike and the SAG-AFTRA strike, please remember to show up for them too. They're a tiny guild, they'll probably be striking, and they'll need all the help they can get!

how is this fucking website more transphobic than twitter.

I'm not even talking about staff flagging everything, that's a separate issue, I'm talking about the userbase.

It's like, everything a trans woman says gets twisted to mean the opposite thing and slapped in a callout post. it's not just piss poor reading comprehension it's willful misinterpretation.

you can't say "be gay do crime" then start completely unfounded smear campaigns about marginalized people.

@demilypyro

like 4/5ths of my feed is trans people at this point not sure how that happened but I think that means I get a skewed view of the userbase since I thought the website was pretty trans positive.

I’m gonna say no, BUT it’s not for the reasons you’d think. I say that not just because clowns are usually just humans in costumes, but also because Capital C Clowns have their own culture that runs more than a hundred years deep, and that’s if you only count the modern idea of clowns. If you consider they’re roots as jesters, then the culture and learning is built on knowledge stretching to the dawn of civilization. Like, Clowning is a serious artform to professional Clowns that requires intense physical and psychological conditioning, which sounds absurd until you take clowning lessons.

You know how the joke about “Clown College” has been a thing for decades? Well it turns out that apparently that shit’s really fucking hard, and there’s centuries of knowledge and tradition built around it. I had to take a crash course in Clowning for an acting class, and let me tell you I felt like I was poking my head into the ocean. A great yawning abyss of knowledge I could never wield. But it’s human knowledge. Human knowledge passed down by hand from master to student for thousands of years.

So, like, Clowns aren’t monsters. They’re wizards.

You should be scared of clowns but not for the reason everyone tells you they have power
